From everyday stress to inner calm: how one breath can change everything

When we move away from thinking about our breath to feeling our breath we can begin to let go…

It’s safe to breathe, it’s safe to let go.

You know the feeling - your mind is racing, shoulders are tight, your breath is shallow and there are a hundred tabs open in your head and not a moment’s peace. Whether it’s anxiety, burnout, or just life’s relentless pace, we’ve all been there.

But what if there was a way to quiet all that noise using nothing but your breath?

That’s the power of Conscious Connected Breathwork with me, Alan Ball - and it can change everything in just one session.

The shift from thinking to feeling

If you’re overwhelmed, stressed or anxious Conscious Connected Breathwork can move your focus, your attention from your mind to your breath. We move from thinking to feeling; replace the fight‑or‑flight chest breath to a rest‑and‑digest abdominal breath. By moving our breath back to the diaphragm, we now breathe as we should.

Breathing to heal - and release

In an Alan Ball session, breath becomes the doorway to deeper healing. Here’s my own personal invitation to you:

“We can allow the body to repair, to heal and to delete all of those thoughts just by focussing on our breath, lengthening our inhale, shortening our exhale and deleting the pause to connect the breath. The body’s a superpower we just need to allow it to take control and switch off the mind.”

Breathwork with Alan Ball

The results speak for themselves

Your breath can be a reflection of your life, you need to perhaps slow down and enjoy the journey. My sessions involve us listening to our bodies - they will inform and tell us where we need to focus. It’s a question of locating what we’re holding on to and letting it go.

I will guide you gently through:

Lengthening the inhale
Shortening the exhale
Removing the pause.

With that in mind, I will help you imagine the tiny little hairs inside your nostrils moving in and out like seaweed moving with the tide as you breathe in and out.

There is never any pressure when we practice and certainly never any expectations. This encourages a seamless flow of breath that helps unlock emotional blocks, reduce anxiety, and reset the nervous system.

Jessica’s story - baggage made visible

Jessica, one of my clients, explained how I could see the weight she was carrying via the reflections and vibrations her body was showing during the session.

“To be able to see those inner most emotions by reading the reflections through the body is sensational.”

Jessica’s words capture how breathwork can surface hidden emotional weight and then dissolve it - all without saying a single word.

Dean’s experience - life was overwhelming

Dean came to me struggling with work pressures, racing thoughts, disrupted sleep and generally feel below par. After practising breathwork - as Dean says ‘religiously’ - he’s seen a real improvement. It was so good to hear him say:

“I have a feeling this could be a game changer.”

That’s the real magic of Conscious Connected Breathing: guided by structure, backed by science - and deeply intuitive.

The next time you feel overwhelmed

Stop.
Find your breath.
Let it flow - without force.

If you’re struggling to meditate and your busy mind won’t shut up - here is something to try:

Allow the mind to be busy and begin to move away from thinking to feeling, feeling your rhythm , your breath.

Let your breath and body guide you.

As Jessica experienced, breathwork practice can make the invisible, visible.
As Dean discovered, it has the power to heal you from the inside out.

All with one breath.
